Good view of the harbor. The surrounding area is a really great place to shop and do some activities. The food hall has a bunch of good options. My friend got the Gastro Pub and it was really fresh and good (we shared plates). I got Fjárhúsið - a lamb place. Award winning lamb. It was really good. I liked that they put the allergen menu on their regular menu. And the plating is perfect.
The food hall has a lot of different options and variety if you and your group all has different taste in terms of food. I do recommend the fish and chips. There was only one person running the stand so do expect a little wait for your food. The fish was very silky and the batter had the perfect crunch to each bite.
It's more on the smaller side for a food market, there were only 6 or 7 stands, but it's a good mix of different varieties, so there is a really high chance that you will find a type of food which you will enjoy. I had the classic fish and chips and it was really nice.
Location is a little far away, but still worth it.
Well I expected an Icelandic food hall. This was Indonesian, indian, pasta, a gastro truck and I think it may have been a French place as well. There was one fish and chips places. I decided to go for the haddock with chips (it was actually fries), salad and tartare sauce. It was excellent!!! One of the best fish I’ve had. This is getting 4 as I’m rating the hall and not the fish and chips location.
Perfect stop after a whale watching tour. I recommend a burger or lamb pita. The fries were also very good and crispy.
Ater eating in the food hall you should walk 5 minutes more and try the "omnom" ice cream or chocolate at the omnom Café for dessert.
It is a nice place when you are not sure what to eat, I went for icelander food, lamb sandwich was amazing, the lamb soup was pretty good, remind me mexican beef soup just that we use beef instead lamb, there are different option there, I recommend the Icelandic place at 100%
I really enjoyed this place when I visited last week. I had lamb meat soup. It was very nice and perfect. The staff was nice and so was the locals.
Amazing food court for get together and variety of street food - from traditional Icelandic lamb dishes, hotdogs and Icelandic beer and my choice was - fish and chips. I tried this iconic dish in many countries including UK and the best by far I have found here in Reykjavik, Iceland. The dish is tasty and filling, didn’t feel any greasy taste and with salad it goes perfectly. Enjoyed the views to the port. Also here a lady cleaner constantly looks after the tables. From 15:00 till 18:00 here a happy hour for beer. Loved the place, loved the food, will be back for more interesting dishes. Bus number 14 took me there. My advice dress well as here windy spot of the city. Definitely this is the place worthy paying a visit when you are in Reykjavik. Your Senses tour guide, Olena.
